Charity of the Year

Our charity of the year for 2025 is Freddie Farmers Foundation, the charitable arm of the Freddie Farmer physiotherapy centre which provide high quality specialised physiotherapy and support services for children with cerebral palsy and mobility problems, as well as providing support for their families and carers. The centre was opened in May 2015 and is a great support for disabled children with varying conditions and mobility problems.

The inspiration behind it all is Freddie Farmer who was born at 28 weeks with cerebral palsy. Freddie’s family had been taking him three times a year to a centre 100 miles away for unique and intensive physiotherapy involving a piece of equipment called the ‘spider’. It helped Freddie make great progress and it soon became clear that a centre nearer home – where he could get more regular treatment - was much needed.

Our current fundraising initiatives include a number of events the first being our Easter Egg raffle which raised £180.
