News | 4 October 2024
In October 2024 there is a new duty coming into force.
Sexual harassment is already against the law. So, what will change?
Employers must take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment of employees in the workplace.
There is a gear change in what is required in terms of employers in the preventative steps it takes and how it can meet the new duty.
Additional financial penalties can be imposed if the new duty is breached.
