David Gibson
Head of Leasehold
Bromley office
As a Solicitor in the Enfranchisement department, David works on lease extensions, freehold sales and purchases and leasehold advice. He also deals with lease variations and consents, including leasehold matters for companies and individuals who own flats or freeholds subject to long leases.
David specialises in leasehold reform legislation. This is a niche area and as such, he is keen to make sure clients do not get caught out by the various pitfalls that exist when dealing with leasehold matters. Always doing his best to make a complicated area of law as easy to understand as possible, David strives to give solid and reliable advice wherever he can and will aim to leave clients feeling secure their matter is being dealt with thoroughly. His aim is to equip clients with advice so they are able to make decisions about their properties confidently, knowing that even in a difficult situation, they are making the best possible choices.
Working at Thackray Williams, David is proud to be part of a supportive and technically adept team that shares knowledge and assists each other in all areas of work.
David has volunteered his services at the Bromley Landlord and Tenant fair, giving out free advice. He has also attended careers events for local schools, as well as volunteering at Bromley’s homeless shelter.
Outside work, David plays drums in an alternative rock band. He enjoys watching live music, cookery and DIY.
