Julian joined Thackray Williams in January 2024 as an Associate Solicitor in the Employment team. He specialises in complex employment tribunal litigation and advisory work.
Julian completed his training contract in a top 100 law firm advising a variety of clients in the health and social care sectors on the full range of employment law issues on sensitive and high-profile employment law cases. Prior to completing his training contract and qualifying as a solicitor in 2020, Julian volunteered for the Free Representation Unit, where he successfully represented vulnerable claimants in the employment Tribunal.
Julian acts for both individual employees and employers advising on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters, including on unfair dismissals, discrimination claims and grievance procedures, redundancy issues, drafting of employment contracts and settlement agreements, sickness absence management matters and whistleblowing. He is also experienced in providing advice and representation at employment tribunals, both in person and at remote hearings.
Julian strives to provide clients with comprehensive, clear and pragmatic advice so they fully understand their legal options from the onset. He is personable, diligent, hardworking and exercises the highest level of discretion to protect his client’s interests.
Outside of work, Julian sits on the committee of the Speakers of Croydon, which is a highly decorated public speaking club in South London and part of Toastmasters International. He also enjoys going to the gym and walking with his two dogs.
