Michaela is a solicitor in the Private Client Department. She is based in our Sevenoaks office.
Michaela started practising as a fee-earner in London in 2006, preparing Wills and Powers of Attorney and assisting with applications for Grants of Probate and estate administration. She graduated from BPP University College with distinctions in both her GDL and LPC law degrees and qualified as a solicitor in 2013, after successfully completing her training contract with a London firm and a Tunbridge Wells firm.
Michaela advises on all aspects of Private Client work, including complex Wills with Life Interest Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and the registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney. She deals with obtaining Grants of Probate, Letters of Administration and the general administration of testate and intestate estates, on a wide range of cases including high-net-worth estates involving business or agricultural assets. Michaela drafts Deeds of Variation and Declarations of Trust and gives comprehensive advice on Inheritance Tax and effective succession planning. She also handles applications to the Land Registry and the Trust Registration Service.
Michaela applies a thoughtful and forensic attitude to her work, enabling her to find effective solutions to her clients’ needs. She builds lasting client relationships and prides herself on her ability to empathise with them and their families, tailoring her service to their individual needs. She enjoys meeting people, assisting them with the legal process and making difficult decisions less stressful for them. She is friendly, approachable and responsive, providing clients with reassurance and peace of mind, often during traumatic times.
Michaela is fluent in both English and Romanian. Outside work she enjoys travelling to sunnier climates, singing and dancing, meeting friends and family and spending time with her young, exuberant grandchildren.
